Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to observe the rate of seed germination under the influence of the magnetic field of various strengths theoretically. Here the germination rates of seeds treated with the magnetic field and non-treated are comparatively studied. Magnetic field not only accelerates the germination parameters like germination percentage, emergence index, mean germination time, seedling growth, and vigor index I and II but also the growth parameters like root length, root, shoot length, fresh weights, and leaf area are also accelerated significantly. It is concluded that the seeds stimulated by the magnetic field germinate earlier than the non-stimulated seeds. In this way, it is concluded that overall growth is more significant in stimulated seeds than non-stimulated seeds.
