PRECLINICAL STUDIES OF DRY EXTRACT OF THE HERB OF ECHINACEA PURPUREA PRODUCED BY MEANS OF PREEXTRACTION

Abstract

Preclinical studies of dry extract of echinacea purpurea were carried out according to the following indicators: specific activity, acute and chronic toxicity, cumulative, local irritant and allergic effects were studied. Dry extract of echinacea purpurea is practically non-toxic, its action is not inferior to the drug "Immunal", does not have a cumulative, allergenic and irritating effect. The studied drug contains an important impact on the processes of exudation and proliferation within the experimental model of chronic inflammation. The assessment of the impact of the compared pills on the humoral immune response was once studied with the aid of figuring out the quantity of antibody-forming cells (AFC) in mice after immunization with sheep red blood cells. A small difference in the values of the compared drugs is unreliable, which suggests their organic equivalence.
